23 Feb Chatting with Martine
Martine called me today and we had a good chat about life and stuff in general as well as the project and have agreed for me to go to visit her at her home in Tring after her team get back from playing some matches in Egypt. She is super lovely and we got on very well over the phone, so I am very excited and nervous about meeting her for the first sketches which will be on Weds 14th March. I really feel the project is getting off to a promising start finally, although there doesn’t seem like much time to get it all done. Martine hasn’t been in touch with Liz for a while, so will probably email her about the project and see if she is interested, so we will see how this turns out (I do have a plan B for the work if Liz cannot commit, which will still involve a Diptych, but just of Martine, as a portrait and also a piece celebrating her sport).
