‘Life Force’

Cold cast copper and cherry burl

One of a kind sculpture.

This sculpture is a comment about global warming by deforestation. The human heart is a little larger than the size of your fist. For this piece I have moulded my own palm (in reverse) which becomes the footprint for the piece. The ‘heart’ sits in a carved part of the cherry wood, attached by magnets.
