“In pursuit of abstraction, my latest paintings have gone through an intense distillation process. Visualising sound waves:music in motion, through an abstract lens. Simple, single brush strokes in black acrylic paint and a limited oil colour palette. I am interested in expressing a broad expanse using only essential details. Honed, stripped back, emotive. Reminiscent of Japanese calligraphers on a large scale”.
