Three Silver Birches

My original Silver Birch series of paintings were inspired by trips to Finland where the species is in abundance, so much so, you could say it is their national tree. In much the same way we use the Poppy flower in the UK to represent remembrance and death, with this new ‘Three Birches’ painting, the trees stand for Peace in our time.

This painting forms part of a new series of seasonal tree paintings inspired by the Teifi Valley where we live.
